How to get PSO2 cloud on Nintendo e shop.
All classes can be paired and tailored to fit your personal playstyle, even if it's niche. There are some great combinations, but not all of them work well together, and some you wouldn't expect. Hunter, itself as a sub-class, lends its survivability skills to any main class and can even out damage for classes with skills that require certain criteria for consistent damage. It's the most common sub-class you'll encounter. Like above, the best subclass for a Fighter is Hunter. It sounds strange to take a ranged sub-class, but it has some skills which can help with PP recovery, aerial attacks, and even grant the ability to ramp up damage through combos.
Fighter is another common sub-class since it offers a big damage boost to any main class and can make damage more versatile all-around with its stances. The two best sub-class options for Ranger are Hunter or Fighter. Hunter is the easier path since it gives Rangers needed durability while firing shots. Fighter will turn your Ranger into a glass cannon. If you want something more creative, try pairing it with Summoner to gain Techs or synergize your ranged skills with Braver.
The best sub-classes for Gunner are Fighter or Hunter. Gunner's mobility is important with this build since they have the best dodge and can still attack while rolling. Hunter doesn't offer as much attack as Fighter but adds more durability. And if you want a magical cowboy or girl Summoner is your pick. Hunter is to Fighter as Force is to Techter. Techter offers the most useful skills, rounding out elemental bonuses and boosting PP recovery.
Since no other class really uses offense Techs, its Skill Tree only works for itself. The best subclass for Techter, like most, is Fighter or Hunter.
Fighter will let you lay into enemies with your wand while boosting your Photonic Fury and Techs. Hunter will provide even more durability while you buff yourself and heal, making a Techter almost unkillable.
For something different, try Braver. That was of course using the fan-translations that were supplied to us — and while they were pretty damn good, there were always translation issues, especially with current content.
So hearing that Microsoft was bringing over PSO2 to the West was great news for hundreds of thousands of potential players, if the views on my PSO2 video are to be believed. During their announcement, Microsoft stated that they wanted to bring the game over to the West for Xbox and PC, offering cross-play functionality between the two platforms. Fans were livid that Microsoft had plans to bring the game over exclusively for those platforms and those platforms alone, but in a recent interview with Phil Spencer, the President of Xbox, it was revealed that they have no intention of releasing the game exclusively for those platforms at all, and that both PS4 and Switch releases were already planned and on the way.
Whether that means that they had planned to launch on every console is up for discussion, but it is worth noting that the game — which has an expected release window of Spring — does not have a release window for other consoles. Microsoft themselves will be providing the servers for PSO2 and it has been confirmed, both via Twitter and the official PSO2 website that the game, at present, is expected to launch in North America in Spring Release dates for the rest of the world are unknown right now — with no information on whether the rest of the world will even get a release in their country.
Now allow me to quickly touch on three potential outcomes regarding the release next year. Microsoft could be providing servers hosted within North America, just like Nexon America does with their games, and instead of opening servers in different regions across the world, which would prove to be much more expensive overall, would allow players from all areas of the world, with the exception of regions that already have their version such as South East Asia and Japan to access the game without an IP block.
Thus far, anyway. Like other games in the past, Microsoft could be planning a North American launch initially, with plans to expand into other countries over time. This would provide them an idea of how popular the game was, at least within North America, before going ahead with attempting to gain rights to publish in other countries, which is a whole nother headache.
The most unlikely, but also definitely a plausible outcome would be that North America and North America alone will have access to the game. Microsoft could IP block the rest of the world to prevent anyone outside of the country from accessing the game without using a VPN to play.
Although I doubt this will be the case. This means 7 years, 8 if we count when the game will launch over here worth of content, updates, gear, tweaks, quests, bosses and more.
Ship 2 is populated, very true, but the large influx of players is going to be. So, yeah. Microsoft is bringing over Phantasy Star Online 2 to North America in Spring with an unconfirmed global release possibly planned in the future.
The game will launch — at least initially — on Xbox One and PC with PS4 and Switch releases planned for an undisclosed release in the future as well. And it was! There […]. Toggle navigation. To get started on your journey, you'll need to download a 40MB cloud application. Your progress from each version is shared among all platforms. Phantasy Star Online 2 Cloud allows you to play with up to 12 players. You can even go questing with allies from the PC version. PSO2 Cloud is an online game streaming through the cloud gaming servers. Due to these circumstances, the following items are required:.
Since Phantasy Star Online 2 Cloud utilizes a high-speed broadband connection, Sega requires the following devices:. Similar to popular streaming services, PSO2 Cloud captures your character's input and transmits that data to the Cloud. The results are then displayed on the Nintendo Switch, allowing you to play the game in real-time. Graphics and other game intensive data are handled by the Cloud, making downloading and updating no longer necessary.
Due to the nature of the cloud gaming service, the game will be set to 30 fps, and the player might experience delays based on the status of the internet connection. Playing the Nintendo Switch version allows you to obtain exclusive items such as Link's hairstyle, costume, Master Sword weapon camo, and Hylian shield accessory! Not bad, I guess, but still sucks the Switch version seem to be the lower end version of the game.
Is PSO2 the only multiplatform online game that features full crossplatform support? Based Sega. Seem to be. PSO2 seem to be one of the only popular games that supports a decent cross-platform.
Makes sense if you only have a Switch, but the PC version seems to be the superior version. PS4 being the 2nd and vite a the 3rd. That's some pretty fucking neato technology they're tinkering with there even tho its simple in theory, executing it in open business practices is quite a task.
Looks like Nintendo's experimenting with some Wireless stuff where you dont even need the console anymore just bring the gamepad and play anything you want from anywhere so long as you have good internet. This Technology isn't anything new. The PC had a history with such techniques for almost a decade. It's not the streaming thing that's cool about it, t's the fact that the hardware you need to be able to run the game will come from THEIR end.
It's a clever way of using streaming. What I'm curious about is what type of hardware do they have that'll let thousands of people run pso2 at the same time. It's pretty amazing if you think about it. You're really trying to downplaying this aren't ya? Yes that's just it its a PC per user PSO2 is a free 2 play game so, you are using their electricity, their hardware for no-profit.
Look at that train wreck called OnLive. With the launch rapidly closing in more and more people are hearing the buzz. If you are among those who are excited but are feeling overwhelmed by the task of choosing a class, then this guide will aim to set your mind at ease and allow you to better enjoy this new gaming experience from Sega. Before picking a class it is important to understand a little about how classes work in PSO2. You can freely change your class at the Class Counter at any time.
It is also worth noting here that the Fighter, Gunner, and Techer classes are not selectable when creating a character, but are immediately available at the class counter once you finish the prologue and begin the game.
The Braver is a class that can change between short and long-range attacks with its two different weapons. Using the katana the Braver can slash their enemies up close.
An ability that makes the Braver invulnerable for 20 seconds with the katana out makes this a safe option for new players looking to get accustomed to how combat flows in PSO2. The other weapon the Braver can use is a bow. The bow is a long-range weapon that allows you to do large chunks of damage to your foes quickly from a safe position. Using weapon palettes you can switch between the katana and bow on the fly.
As you master each weapon you will find yourself with a tool at your disposal for any situation that arises. The Hunter is a durable melee class capable of mitigating loads of damage while still dishing it out themselves. That being said, the Hunter is the most capable front line fighter amongst the PSO2 classes. Even though they can absorb a lot of damage they can still clear out waves of enemies quickly. Hunters can use swords, partizans, and wired lances. Each weapon offers a different set of abilities but overall the Hunter utilizes slower attacks that can do large damage to any enemy in the path of its swing.
Another huge benefit to the Hunter for a beginner is that it can be a strong choice of subclass for a lot of other classes.
Once you hit level 20 you can select a subclass. The Summoner uses pets to attack in its place while remaining at a safe distance in a fight. Aside from not attacking traditionally with a weapon, the Summoner does also have a few mechanics that are unique to them, so some of what you will have to learn to play the Summoner will not carry over to any other class you choose to try.
The Summoner is another class that can turn into a good subclass for a lot of other classes similar to the Hunter. The Summoner collects and upgrades a variety of different creatures each with their own unique set of skills. Using its weapon, the harmonizer, the Summoner can switch between pets and command them to attack at will.
Even without input, the pet will act to defend its master. Pets have their own health bar and will often hold the attention of the mobs you are fighting which can help a new player navigate through the early goings of the game. The variety in pet types and their abilities will allow a seasoned Summoner to have a trick up their sleeve for any occasion that may arise.
The drawback to this is that each pet needs to be leveled individually. The Braver. Share Tweet Email 0. Writing since childhood. No re-download will occur if already installed. If you buy a character slot do NOT delete it. You can have up to 3 character slots per account.
When you buy a "character slot" you are instead buying the character itself if that makes sense not the slot. Deleting it means that youll have to re buy another character. Apologies if its a little confusing. Im pretty bad at explaining stuff. Absolute blast! There is a bit of a learning curve but once you get around it the game stands out. There are microtransactions but at the time of writing this I have yet to purchase anything and I still have an enjoyable time without feeling held back.
With that said this game is a darn good treat and I do see myself reaching the point to take part in microtransactions but keep in mind you will have just as good of an experience without them they seem to be just benefits. I say just download the free game and give it a few hours of your time and you may see its potential that keeps opening up the further you progress. I also play this solo and have yet to play with any friends so if you are concerned that you need coop partners fret no more.
Sega and Microsoft have done a great job bringing this to us. From the crisp graphics to the amazing music, the action on the battlefield can become an instant warzone while making your way to a boss.
The customization is truly incredible for your character and it truly gives you your own special creative look. Plenty of classes to choose from along with four races. A casino area for those wanting to try their luck to a live concert that has an amazing singer. All special events are made known too. The concert and urgent missions being part of those special events. Thank you Sega and Microsoft for the hard work bringing this here. Many of us are truly grateful. Please stop spreading this BS that this game is pay to win.
It's grind to win. You have to grind your levels. The only thing you really pay for are cosmetics and the gold season pass and even then you can earn star gems to buy that pass. I am a lvl 55 gunner and a 40 fighter and I haven't spent a penny for anything.
It's a great squad based game. It's all about killing waves of enemies and grinding for your weapon drops and levels. This game isn't for everybody. You want to talk about pay to win then play Black Desert Online. THAT is a pay to win game.
